Man gets 220 years in Juárez family massacre

A man was sentenced to 220 years in prison in the stabbing deaths of eight members of a Juárez family, including three children, in 2013.

A Mexican court sentenced Jesus Daniel Mendoza Hernandez, 25, who was convicted of aggravated homicide charges, the Chihuahua attorney general’s office said this week.

The victims were members of a Jehovah’s Witness group and were found slain in their home after they failed to show up for Sunday religious services on Nov. 17, 2013.
