WIFE-killer Joe O’Reilly’s best chance for a taste of freedom won’t come until next year at the earliest.

This week he has spent 10 years in prison after being convicted in July 2007 for the murder of his wife Rachel.

His only other hope to get out is a long-shot appeal to the European Court of Justice to overturn an Irish decision that quashed his last legal bid for freedom.

At one stage he was an enthusiastic Jehovah’s Witness and demanded that a preacher be allowed to visit him.
